Faith in the future

For Christian education in Indonesia. That is what Setia started with in 1992, and it is still the core of our work. Today there is also a sponsorship programme and smaller projects, spread across four regions.

How we help

Three ways your help lands

Beyond moral support, our help is always practical and traceable.

Support for schools

We help Christian schools with furniture, maintenance and the renovation of classrooms, plus learning materials for teachers and pupils.
Sponsoring children

Together with sponsor parents we help more than 60 disadvantaged children in Indonesia. They receive school fees, uniforms, textbooks and help with other basic needs.

Local projects

Alongside schools and sponsored children we run larger and smaller projects, such as a family home, a preschool or a meal programme.

Our projects run in four regions of Indonesia, each with its own local contact person.

Central Java

Sponsored children around Yogyakarta and Semarang.
East Java

The region where we started is Malang. Together with Petrus and Ratna we run school projects there and support most of our sponsored children.
Kalimantan

On Kalimantan we support a kindergarten in Dessa Dungkan. From the kindergarten we also provide meals.
Timor

Since 2020 we have supported a range of projects in Kupang through Era Koko.

Our contact in Malang for over 30 years, chair of Hope for the children and a former English teacher. He guides Dutch visitor groups through the region.

From Yogyakarta, Sylvia looks after the sponsored children across Central Java in close contact with her father Petrus.

Runs a kindergarten and a toddler group in Dessa Dungkan and encourages parents to keep their children in school long-term.

A nursing-college teacher in Kupang. Since 2020 our point of contact for various projects on Timor and Sumba.
